The Big Four are the world's largest professional services networks, offering audit, assurance services, taxation, management consulting, advisory, actuarial, corporate finance and legal services. They handle the vast majority of audits for public companies as well as many private companies.

 

1. Deloitte has reported annual revenue of US$59.3 billion globally for the year-end 2022 compared to $46.2 bn globally for the year-end 2021 (in 2020, it was $43.2 bn), total employees of 312,000

 

2. PWC has reported annual revenue of US$45 billion globally for the year-end 2022 compared to $43 bn globally for the year-end 2021 (in 2020, it was $43 bn), total employees of 265,000

 

3. Ernst & Young (EY) has reported annual revenue of US$45.4 billion globally for the year-end 2022 compared to $40 bn globally for the year-end 2021 (in 2020, it was $34.7 bn), total employees of 284,000

 

4. KPMG has reported annual revenue of US$35 billion globally for the year-end 2022 compared to $32 bn globally for the year-end 2021 (in 2020, it was $28.9 bn), total employees of 210,000

 

Deloitte, PWC and EY are headquartered in the United Kingdom (UK), while KPMG has its headquarters in the Netherlands.

 

All of the Big Four firms have come up in the top 100 Fortune companies to work for list during 2022:

 

  • Deloitte is in the number 24th position
  • KPMG on the 41st position
  • EY on the 52nd position
  • PWC is in the number 63rd position

In the past, all the Big Four firms have appeared on Europe's Most Attractive Business Employers list.
