Stage two of the Deloitte job application procedure is often delivered through the Immersive Online Assessment or OneStop for some routes. This stage has two parts:
Depending on your service line and entry route, you may also face critical reasoning in a Watson Glaser style, as well as logical or inductive reasoning. Our preparation covers all of these so you are ready for any combination.
Integrity and preparation Deloitte asks candidates to complete assessments independently and to keep assessment content confidential. You can use any tools you like to prepare, including AI, but you must not use such tools during the live assessment or interview.
After choosing a convenient date from the options offered to you by Deloitte, you will typically have between one and two weeks to prepare. As we all know, job tests can be daunting and how can you be fully confident of putting in a perfect performance if you lack Big Four experience. Deloitte has designed the aptitude stage to assess you against the Deloitte competencies and values. The behavioural part is untimed. The cognitive modules have time recorded, which means your efficiency contributes to your score. Our training will ensure that you are fully confident and prepared for any eventuality. Imagine the embarrassment and panic caused by freezing up during the Deloitte aptitude test and you will realise just how important this is.
Although Deloitte lists high level competency criteria on their website, they do not provide detailed guidance on question styles, scoring dynamics or common pitfalls. A. Numerical Reasoning legacy example
Based on data presented in charts and tables. There are three questions per scenario. The typical format is a total of 21 questions across 21 scenarios to be completed within 30 minutes. You are expected to demonstrate accuracy with figures, solid analysis and sensible time management.
B. Critical Thinking legacy example Watson Glaser style
You will analyse short passages of written information. The five sections are Assumptions, Arguments, Deductions, Inferences and Interpret Information. A typical format is around 40 questions to be completed within 30 minutes. You are expected to demonstrate analytical judgement, problem solving and clear evaluation of evidence.
C. Verbal Reasoning legacy example
A series of statements where you must determine true, false or cannot say. There are three questions per scenario with a typical total of 20 questions across 10 scenarios to be completed within 25 minutes. You are expected to demonstrate business judgement and precise reading.
Deloitte will not provide you with an in depth booklet for this stage, so you need the right information and guidance well in advance. Do not rely on guesswork. Targeted practice is essential.
Your performance during the aptitude test will be kept on record and used during Deloitte final deliberations. It is possible to pass this stage then miss out later when recruiters review your overall performance across the full process.
Deloitte grades your ability on each stage between 1 point and 5. If an applicant demonstrates core capabilities and attains high marks during the aptitude stage they present as a strong match for the firm.
This means you should aim to score the maximum points on every stage to set yourself apart from rival job seekers and you cannot afford to miss opportunities without having been properly prepared by Green Turn.
